Red Rooster is THE BEST!!!!Everything about it is just perfect! Love you guys!!

Great fried chicken, skin is crispy and delicious. Place is very small with limited seating, and no true indoor seating. But the food is well worth it and the prices are low.

The owner and the staff are awesome. The food is very good. Red Rooster is a hidden gem in Damascus. I had the boneless chicken breast sandwich and fries...YUM! Stop by and give them a try. The house made iced tea is the best around.

Great fried chicken!

Thus food is great. A really good hole in the wall establishment that features a simple but satisfying menu. My only complaint is that when the wind picks up just right, your eating experience is ruined by the smell of a nearby dumpster. I feel like that problem could be solved but no one is really that interested.

Really good fried chicken. The meat was juicy and crispy. The prices are affordable. Service is ok , nothing special.

Ordered from here for a graduation party a couple years ago, and went back this last week to get some quick dinner. Quality food at a reasonable price. Would definitely recommend as one of the best places in Damascus

Went there today for the first time, had a scrapple sandwich, very good, but brought a Link sausage which cost $3.19 and it wasn't good. Weird taste, I don't know if it was old, but definitely not good and not worth the money.

11/29/2018 - First off first off I'd like to say that this place has been going downhill ever since the Miller family sold it. RIP Kevin. I called in today, because if you don't you'll be standing in there for half an hour to get your food because they move like snails in there. I ordered two sausage links, no bun, two eggs, and cheese (which I did not receive) and a jumbo iced tea. $14.00++. I'm sorry but that's insane. Then those two nasty girls that work the registers you can tell are trying very very hard to be friendly to you because I just don't think it's in their nature. I'll admit the food is good but it's not as good as it used to be. It beats going to McDonald's. But as far as the people that work in there and the management of that place it's pathetic. Damascus is going downhill in general.

Small place no indoor warm seating, we got the chicken fingers and they seemed frozen and pressed meat. The side portions were very small for the price (4 spoon fulls) $1.79Will not go back...

I love this chicken but I don't know if I will continue to love it, I have been on Sunday twice and the quality of the chicken has been very bad, if they give chicken with a long time to cook and the potatoes were very old today I imagine it had already happened time they had cooked them and they gave them to me and the chicken will be the same? I do not want to stop buying this chicken nose if the problem is only on Sundays oh every day but before it was not like that the chicken was very good nothing to do with the one that you sold me on Sunday

Do not have their milkshakes anymore very salty about that plus do not have a medium size nor a small size of Crisscuts so I have to eat a whole large by myself come on that’s ridiculous

Been eating here for 30+ years...great fried chicken in Damascus! Also, get the coleslaw...really creamy!

The building is old. The food is delicious. Cooked when ordered.

Red Rooster is a classic old school Damascus landmark and business. Been going there for 30 years now. Just plain good made to order Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner at very affordable prices. If your in a hurry you can call in your order and they'll get started on it. I recomend for large orders. Why wait in a long drive thru line for overpriced bland tasteless food. Take 5 minutes get out of the car, stretch the legs and check out Red Rooster.

The two girls upfront are not friendly at all. They tried yes, well sorta. I watched them make fun of a customer. They show how much they hate their job. The fries were gross! They do have decent prices though. Just expect unwelcoming vibes

We arrived after getting off of work at 8:52pm and the staff was still willing to get us a quick order in of fried chicken and fries. They were so friendly even though we arrived 8 minutes before their closing. I appreciate that more than anything. Food was hot and tasty! Love the outdoor sitting areas. Great having this little gem in our town!

A family favorite of ours since 1974. Every bite was like a time machine to our childhood. The solution may be as simple as changing the oil but tonight wasn't what we were expecting. We're hopeful the next trip from Frederick will leave us wanting a quick return for more historically delicious chicken.

Was disappointed in the very small size of the chicken pieces. Had the same great flavor but have not had such small legs, thighs and breasts. Is new owner keeping the prices the same but reducing the portion size? We were in for a let down when we got home with our chicken. You get 2 stars for flavor but 0 for the small sizes.

Red Rooster is a cute place with large picnic tables under awnings for shade and protection from the elements. So it's outdoor seating only but it was amazing cool even on a sunny 98° August afternoon. They have breakfast sandwiches, burgers, BLT sandwiches, fried chicken, buffalo wings and very tempting desserts. Although busy service was fast and friendly. We tried a bacon cheeseburger and the Smoke House Steak Sandwich. Both were tasty and satisfying. Next visit we'll try their buffalo wings and fried chicken.

At one time they had the best fried chicken and coleslaw. Now under new ownership not so much !! They claim it's all the same food but that's so not true !!

Very delicious chicken fingers. The Mac and cheese was good but a very small portion, same size as the dipping sauce. I didn't get a picture but will definitely be back. I ate outside and it was very cold but made the hot fries and frsh from the fryer chicken that much tastier.

Skimpy small pieces of chicken. I wanted to buy a whole coconut cream pie, but he only had frozen whole pies. The owner Would not compensate pie slices of a different kind of pie to make a whole pie.As for the Two young men working the counter taking orders, one of the two men was rude and obnoxious to his coworker.I Will not be returning to this overrated and expensive chicken coop.

Been coming here for over 20 years. One of the best places in town to grab some comfort food breakfast, lunch and dinner. The fried chicken is super crispy and juicy with the perfect amount of seasoning, I'm not a big coleslaw fan but I absolutely love their's. They have 3 or 4 different kinda fries, you just cant go wrong everything is amazing.

Since the change of hands, it has gone down hill. They are surviving off their past reputation. Definitely not as good

I celebrated my graduation earlier this evening in this great restaurant. I am glad to say that we passed a terrific evening and the place was definitely one of the reasons for the strong evening. The stuff helped in a lovely style, the cooking was extremely good and my buddies were so glad. We shall absolutely come back again for more celebrations. Thank you very much.
